Updated HSE guidance

Health & Safety Executive (HSE) this week announced two updates to first aid at work publications.

The first was in relation to employers responsibilities to take care of employees mental health in their first aid needs assessment (First aid at work: Guidance on regulations).

The other update was simplifying what employers should consider when selecting a training provider (Selecting a first-aid training provider: A guide for employers).

At Anacruses we fully support the HSE in improving their guidance. Our H&S expert said “The update to the first aid needs assessment is welcomed. Mental health is an important topic within the workplace and this guidance reinforces that. With regards to selecting a first aid training provider, a simplification of guidance is helpful to all businesses and makes an important decision easier”.
